Today, the Department for Nephrology and Dialysis, University Clinical Center Tuzla has got a valuable donation consisted of four dialysis machines. The campaign of new dialysis machines purchase was launched last year by the then head of the Clinic for Internal Medicine Prof. Dr. Denijal Tulmović and his associates Prof. Dr. Enisa Mešić, chief of the Department for Nephrology, Hemodialysis and Transplantation, and head technician of the Department Šefik Husić. Owing to social responsibilities of individual businessmen, the campaign was successfully completed.

During handover, Prof. Dr. Denijal Tulumović said that he wanted to provide patients with chronic renal failure on hemodialysis with maximum support, simply to provide the patients with possibility for further treatment, prolonged and better quality of life. He also thanked companies Tom-Cat, Euro-Prost, Babilon and Deling that financially funded and supported the campaign.

The director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla Prof. Dr. Vahid Jusufović on the occasion thanked for the donation and announced realization of another donation of two hemodialysis machines. With a total of six new machines, the University Clinical Center will be able to significantly improve the hemodialysis process for its patients, he said.

Prof. Dr. Enisa Mešić said that four modern dialysis machines will certainly make a huge difference to many dialysis patients, as our old dialysis machines have exceeded the maximum working hours. ” I’ am grateful to all social responsible companies in B&H and our people in the diaspora who may help the efforts of one dialysis center to improve customer service.” The Department of Nephrology, Hemodialysis and Transplantation is a 25 dialysis- bed. The health professionals who care for 170 dialysis patients work in four shifts, seven days a week. Dialysis service is also organized for about 300 chronic patients in Gračanica and Živince, without counting those patients who have different acute problems and are in need for hemodialisys, said Prof. Dr Mešić.
