The Director of the State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety, Ivan Lasić, paid an official visit to the University Clinical Center Tuzla, where he held discussions with Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić, the Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla. The main topic of discussion was the procurement of a brachytherapy device, which is essential for the oncological treatment of gynecological cancers.
The introduction of this device will offer patients more effective, safer treatment options and improve overall treatment outcomes.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the upcoming education of physicists from the University Clinical Center Tuzla.
These professionals will be traveling to Italy and Sweden in the near future, through the support of the State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety, to receive advanced training in the field of radiotherapy.
