The University Clinical Center Tuzla (UKC Tuzla) has been conducting the 65th Course on Abdominal Ultrasound Diagnostics since March 31, with the program set to run for four weeks. As part of this educational initiative, the course includes a special lecture by the esteemed Prof.Dr. Robert Smolić, a gastroenterologist from the Mursa Medical Center in Osijek.
As part of the ongoing 65th Course on Abdominal Ultrasound Diagnostics at the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Robert Smolić delivered a professional lecture titled “Ultrasound in Colon Polyps.” Prof. Smolić is a full professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health, J. J. Strossmayer University in Osijek, and serves as the director of the Mursa Medical Center in Osijek, Croatia, where he also practices as a specialist in gastroenterology. His primary scientific and clinical focus includes the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of liver diseases.
The course also featured a distinguished lecture by Academician Prof. Dr. Enver Zerem on “Interventional Ultrasound.” Prof. Zerem is recognized as the leading expert in the field of interventional ultrasonography in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the highest number of scientific publications in top-tier international journals in this field.
In addition to the lectures by these two prominent experts, participants showed great interest in the workshop “Shear Wave Elastography and CEUS Ultrasound Diagnostics.” The workshop provided attendees with hands-on experience and insight into the most advanced ultrasound techniques currently available on the global market. The session was led by Dr. Ajdin Smajlović, a radiology specialist from the Berg company, who guided participants through the latest developments in ultrasound diagnostics.
