The University Clinical Center Tuzla was honored today by the visit of Major General Mirsad Ahmić, Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. During his visit, Major General Ahmić held a meeting with the Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić.
The primary objective of the working visit was to explore opportunities for institutional collaboration between the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the University Clinical Center Tuzla. Particular focus was placed on the potential for professional and specialist training of military medical personnel within the clinical center.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the potential that the University Clinical Center Tuzla, as one of the leading healthcare institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, can offer in the areas of education, professional training, and exchange of expertise. Both parties expressed their willingness to continue dialogue and work toward establishing concrete forms of cooperation that would contribute to strengthening the medical capacities of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić, Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, expressed his satisfaction with the interest shown in establishing collaboration. He emphasized the importance of connecting military healthcare structures with civilian medical institutions in order to jointly advance healthcare services and medical education.
This visit marks an important step toward strengthening inter-institutional relations and fostering the exchange of knowledge and skills between the defense and healthcare sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
