Representatives of the local Tuzla committee of the BoHeMSA (Bosnia and Herzegovina Medical Students’ Association) met with the Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić, on the occasion of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at further enhancing the implementation of IFMSA professional and scientific research exchange programs carried out by the Association.
This Memorandum reinforces the long-standing and successful collaboration between BoHeMSA and UKC Tuzla. Through this partnership, medical students from numerous countries worldwide are given the opportunity to complete part of their professional training at UKC Tuzla. During their stay, students gain valuable clinical experience, strengthen their professional competencies, and become acquainted with the healthcare system, academic environment, and cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Cooperation with UKC Tuzla is of particular importance for ensuring the quality and continuity of these exchange programs, as it enables students to work in a dynamic clinical setting under the mentorship of experienced healthcare professionals. At the same time, this collaboration contributes significantly to the internationalization of medical education and further enhances the international visibility and reputation of UKC Tuzla.
During the reception, certificates of appreciation were presented to the University Clinical Center Tuzla, while special recognition was awarded to its Director, Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić, honorary member of the BoHeMSA, in acknowledgment of his continuous and selfless support, understanding, and personal commitment to the implementation of student exchanges and numerous projects carried out by the Association.
Representatives of BoHeMSA expressed their sincere gratitude for the trust and partnership demonstrated by UKC Tuzla, emphasizing their strong commitment to further advancing this successful cooperation. They highlighted that their shared goal remains the continuous improvement of student education, the development of international academic exchange, and the strengthening of professional ties in the field of medicine.
On this occasion, Director Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić underscored that the signing of the Memorandum with BoHeMSA represents a continuation of the strategic orientation of UKC Tuzla toward internationalization and the enhancement of academic collaboration. “UKC Tuzla is a strong and reliable partner in student exchange programs because we firmly believe that investing in the education of young doctors means investing in the future of the healthcare system.
