ACTIVITIES OF THE HOSPITAL PHARMACY

• Planning the procurement of medicines, medical supplies, and other consumable materials

• Conducting market research on medicines, medical supplies, and other consumables from the procurement perspective

• Maintaining contact with manufacturers of medicines, medical supplies, and other consumable materials, as well as with potential suppliers

• Participating in the tendering process and in the work of the Public Procurement Committee regarding the procurement of medicines, medical supplies, and other materials

• Supervising the proper supply of medicines, medical supplies, and other consumables, and monitoring delivery timelines according to concluded contracts

• Receiving requisitions for medicines, medical supplies, and other consumables from clinics and polyclinics

• Supplying clinics and polyclinics with medicines, medical supplies, and other consumables, and determining the frequency of supply

• Determining and proposing necessary stock levels

• Controlling the implementation of established standards for requisitioning, distribution, storage, and administration of medicines, medical supplies, and other consumable materials

• Analyzing the consumption of medicines, medical supplies, and other consumables

• Producing magistral (compounded) medicines and galenic preparations

• Providing professional advice to healthcare workers, healthcare institutions, patients, and caregivers on the use of medicines

The beginnings of hospital pharmacy services in the Tuzla region are linked to the former Hospital for Internal Diseases “Kojšino.”

The hospital pharmacy consists of the Central Pharmacy and 11 Clinical Pharmacies.
