The Clinic for Skin Diseases, University Clinical Center Tuzla joined a pan-European skin cancer prevention campaign and organized free dermatological examinations for our citizens on May 4 and 5, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The aim of the campaign is to raise public awareness about skin cancer, to promote and share information on skin cancer prevention, early diagnosis and treatment.
According to the World Health Organization an estimated 3.5 million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed and more than 22.000 people die from melanoma in Europe each year.
The Euromelanoma campaign was started in Belgium in 1999 and spread to 33 countries. Bosnia and Herzegovina became an active member of Euromelanoma in 2011.
