Assoc. Prof. Lala Ćeklić, serves as an expert associate at the University Clinic for Eye Diseases Bern in Switzerland. She is a distinguished member of several prestigious medical societies including the European Association of Retinologists, the American Ophthalmological Association, the Serbian Medical Society, and the Society of Ophthalmologists of the Republic of Srpska.

She is credited as the author of two authoritative manuals and a co-author of an atlas focusing on retinal diagnostics in the Serbian-Croatian language. Additionally, she has contributed as a co-author to a chapter in the internationally acclaimed book “Choroidal Neovascularization,” published in English in Basel. Dr. Ćeklić’s extensive research contributions include the publication of 19 highly regarded professional papers in esteemed European and American medical journals.

According to Assoc. Prof. Jasmin Zvorničanin, the head of the Clinic for Eye Diseases, the collaboration with Dr. Ćeklić is anticipated to enhance operational efficiency and broaden the spectrum of services available to patients. “Dr. Čeklić’s involvement underscores our steadfast commitment to maintaining leadership in ophthalmology, ensuring our patients receive the best care,” stated Dr. Zvorničanin. “This initial visit marks the commencement of a series of collaborative endeavors for our clinic, and we eagerly anticipate the future contributions of these esteemed experts. The admission of Assoc. Prof. Ćeklić and Assoc. Prof. Zvorničanin was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Ervin Alibegović, the Assistant Director for Teaching and Scientific Research at the University Clinical Center Tuzla. Professor Alibegović emphasized that the introduction of new approaches to treating eye diseases will unquestionably enhance the current operational framework at the Clinic for Eye Diseases. Furthermore, he underscored how these advancements will inspire innovative methodologies aimed at elevating the quality of care provided to patients with diverse eye conditions.
