The XVI Tuzla Neurological Meetings opened today with a ceremonial ceremony, attended by a large number of guests and media representatives. The organizers of this year’s neurological meetings are the Clinic for Neurology of the University Clinical Center Tuzla and the Association of Neurologists of the Tuzla Canton. According to the president of the organizing committee of the Tuzla Neurological Meetings and head of the Clinic for Neurology, Prof. Dr. Aida Šehanović, the Tuzla Neurological Meetings have become a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and new findings in the field of neurology. “The Tuzla Neurological Meetings represent an opportunity to discuss new challenges, research, innovations and progress in neurology, but they also shape our daily practice and contribute to the improvement of our profession. Tuzla as a city is recognizable as a center of medical education and science and I am sure that this year, as in all previous years, our lecturers will present the latest findings and approaches that will enable us to advance neurological medicine,” emphasized Mayor Šehanović and expressed great gratitude to all participants, lecturers, organizers and sponsors who enabled the realization of this extremely important meeting for the profession.

The Assistant Director for Teaching and Scientific Research at the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Ervin Alibegović, welcomed participants and guests, wishing them successful and productive sessions, as well as engaging discussions and conclusions that will contribute to the further development of neurology.
Prof. Dr. Mirjana Vidović delivered a presentation on the development of the Clinic for Neurology in Tuzla, highlighting staff education, scientific research, as well as advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches at the University Clinical Center Tuzla.
Following the opening addresses, plenary lectures commenced, marking the beginning of the scientific program.
The XVI Tuzla Neurological Meetings will continue until April 26, 2025, with the central theme “Neurology in the 21st Century.”
This year’s theme reflects the recognition of significant progress in neurology, with numerous innovations that have enhanced the diagnosis, treatment, and understanding of neurological disorders.
