On the occasion of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, delegations from the University Clinical Center Tuzla (UKC Tuzla) and the Association of Demobilized Veterans of Public Health Institutions of Tuzla Canton laid flowers and paid tribute to fallen soldiers and innocent civilian victims of the war at the memorial located within the University Clinical Center Tuzla.
Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić, Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, extended his congratulations to all citizens and employees of UKC Tuzla, emphasizing that on November 25, 1943, the decision to restore the statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina was made, reaffirming its historical borders dating back to medieval Bosnia.
“I want to express my gratitude to our employees who are today demobilized fighters and who made a tremendous contribution to the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I also extend my appreciation to all doctors and medical staff who provided invaluable support to veterans and the civilian population during the war. I am proud that this date is traditionally observed at UKC Tuzla, as well as the memory of our fighters and civilian victims,” said Director Umihanić.
