A cadaveric kidney transplant and two corneal transplants were successfully performed today at the University Clinical Center Tuzla.
The procedures were carried out by the multidisciplinary transplant team of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, demonstrating a high level of expertise and coordination. According to the initial reports, all transplant procedures proceeded smoothly.
The early postoperative course of the patients is stable and progressing within expected parameters.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the donor’s family for their invaluable consent to organ donation, as well as to all members of the multidisciplinary teams who participated in the organ explantation and transplantation processes.
In addition to the transplant teams from the Clinic for Urology, the Clinic for Internal Medicine, the Clinic for Eye Diseases, and the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Reanimatology, significant contributions were made by the teams from the Polyclinic for Transfusion, the Polyclinic for Laboratory Diagnostics, the Hospital Pharmacy, and the Institute for Psychological and Social Support.
