Today, the University Clinical Center Tuzla (the UKC Tuzla)officially received a new state-of-the-art reanimobil ambulance vehicle, purchased through the Financial Support Program of the Government of Tuzla Canton.
Valued at approximately 200,000 KM, the new reanimobil is equipped with advanced medical equipment that meets the highest professional standards. It is intended for the safe transport of critically ill patients both within Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, ensuring a higher level of emergency medical care and patient safety during transport.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director of the UKC Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić, emphasized that the continuous and strategic support of the Government of Tuzla Canton has enabled the institution to implement major development projects and modernize its medical equipment year after year, directly contributing to improved healthcare services for the citizens of the canton.
“Following the acquisition of a modern ambulance at the end of 2024, today’s delivery of a new reanimobil ambulance represents another important step in strengthening our patient transport capacity. This vehicle will enable us to provide faster, safer, and more efficient transportation of patients, further enhancing the quality of healthcare services we deliver. We also expect that the planned allocation of 26 million KM for 2026 will be implemented in accordance with the development and modernization plans of the University Clinical Center Tuzla,” said Prof. Umihanić.
He also highlighted the institution’s significant investments in medical equipment. During 2025, the University Clinical Center Tuzla completed the procurement of medical equipment valued at approximately 26 million KM.
Among the most important investments is the acquisition of a state-of-the-art PET/CT system worth more than 9 million KM (including VAT). In addition, procurement procedures for a new linear accelerator, several digital X-ray systems, ultrasound machines, solar panels, and other essential medical equipment are currently in their final stages, further reinforcing the institution’s commitment to providing modern, high- quality healthcare.
