Yesterday, members of TAIEX Expert mission on development of a deceased organ donation and tranplantation program in health care institutions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina visited University Clinical Center Tuzla. TAIEX Expert mission was led by Dr. Mirela Bušić, national coordinator for transplantation medicine of the Republic of Croatia, Dr. Lada Sarajlić, director of Center for transplantation medicine of the Federal Ministry of Health, and Dr. Olivera Tadić, expert assistant of Center for transplantation medicine. The guests hosted director Ass.Prof. Nešad Hotić with his closest associates involved in transplantation program at Clinical Center Tuzla. All together they joined the meeting to exchange information on effective practice conversations with families of potential donors. The aim was to point out the obstacles in communication between doctors and families of potential donor. Also, it was talked about the progress of Donor Network of the Federation B&H, and the current situation and perspectives of transplant program. After the meeting, mission team members visited the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Resuscitation and the potential organ donors.
