The gala ceremony on the occasion of marking the 40th Anniversary of the University of Tuzla was held today in the National Theatre Tuzla. At present, the University of Tuzla is made up of twelve faculties and one Academy of Dramatic Art.
Rector of the University of Tuzla, Samir Nurić during his speech gave an overview of the university’s activities and plans to remain a leader in the field of higher education. “The University has made an immeasurable contribution to the industrial development of the city, but a benefits we have inherited from geographic, cultural and economic advantages give us much reason to assume that the University of Tuzla will remain a successful leader in higher education.” said Prof. Dr. Samir Nurić.
A documentary film about the history of the University premiered during the ceremony. This anniversary was a great opportunity to promote 15 golden students and professors who are elected to the rank of Full Professor position during the last year. Also, the University of Tuzla awarded a distinguished diplomas and charters to individuals and groups of the comunity and other universities abroad for their meritorious contribution to education.
Director Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić received honorary diploma on behalf of the University Clinical Center Tuzla for a significant contribution to the development of the University of Tuzla.
