The ceremony, marking the 96th Anniversary of radiology practice in the Tuzla region was held yesterday at the Hotel Tuzla, Tuzla, in the presence of numerous and esteemed guest.
In a unique ceremony the guests had the opportunity to see a video made by the Clinic of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, University Clinical Center Tuzla, about the history and development of radiology practice.
According to head of the Clinic for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Prof. Dr. Haris Huseinagić, December is a month to celebrate Radiology around the world:”Since this year marks 96 years of radiology practice in the Tuzla region, we have decided to organize a ceremony and to commemorate, for us, this very significant event. After a long research we have found that back in 1920 a small town Lukavac had X-ray equipment, which means that the inhibitants of the region have been following and using medical technologies for 96 years. Prof. Dr. Huseinagić while addressing the media also added:” The Clinic of radiology and Nuclear Medicine today offers more that 270 different procedures. In 2017 our plan is to continue with the program of endovascular treatments and to implement ischemic stroke and the spine diseases treatment by minimally invasive methods.
This ceremony was the perfect opportunity to honor and award selected individuals for their immense contribution to the development of radiology.
