A successful cooperation between the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Clinic of Hematology and Radiotherapy and the pharmaceutical company Novartis was confirmed again today. Namely, it is about the valuable donation of the ultrasound machine with three probes made by Novartis for the Department of Hematology. According to Prof. Dr. Aida Arnautović Ćustović, this donation is quite important because of the inpatiens with immunodeficiency do not have to leave the Department for a diagnostic imaging anymore.
” With this ultrasound machine we will also be able to perform cardio and abdominal ultrasound examinations, as well as to perform ultrasound guided central venous catheter placement for the application of therapy and the stem cell collection for transplantation.” said Prof. Dr. Aida Ćustović, head of the Department.
A representative of Novartis Vedran Crnogorac on the occasion said that this donation is a result of long- term cooperation. It is one of the highest quality ultrasound machines that utilizes premium image quality and design.The funds for the purchase of ultrasound equipment provided regional Novartis headquarters.
