The team of pediatric surgeons from the Clinic for Children’s Diseases have sucessfully performed surgery in a four- month- old infant with complex anorectal malformation- anal atresia with rectrourethral fistula.

“The diagnosis of complex anomaly was established right after the birth and we made colostomy surgery that helped solid waste exit. Two weeks ago the baby was scheduled for posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP) that separates the urinary, gastrointenstinal and sexual structures from the anus.” explains Ass. Prof. Edin Husarić, head of the Clinic for Children’s Disease, who together with Ass. Prof. Amir Halilbašić and Dr. Emir Rahmanović performed this surgery.
