On the occasion of 45th Anniversary of publishing medical journal Acta Medica Salinana, the University Clinical center Tuzla held a press conference. Participants in the press conference were Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić, director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Prof.Dr. Fahrija Skokić, medical director, Prof. Dr. Osman Sinanović, Editor in Chief of Acta Medica Saliniana, and Prof. Dr. Fuad Brkić, Editor in Chief of Acta Medica Saliniana for the period 2008-2012.
Acta Medica Salinana is the official, peer- reviewed medical journal of the University Clinical Center Tuzla. The journal is indexed in the most prestigious bibliographic databases. Acta Medica Salinana has been continuously published two times per year, in the print and online version, since the year 1997. Since 2009, Acta Medica Salinana has published all original manuscripts in English language. During the press, Prof. Dr. Sinanović presented a brief retrospective of the journal, noting that the journal was published even during wartime 1992-1995.
Acta Medica Saliniana publishes original papers, professional papers, review papers, case reports and letters to editor which deal with all aspects of biomedicine and related research.The journal is based in the University Clinical Center Tuzla but welcomes and publishes manuscripts and contributions from all over the world (the United States, Great Britain, Greece, Turkey, Malaysia).
Acta Medica is indexed in Scopus, Index Copernicus Master Journal List, EBSCO, The Ulrich’s Periodical Directory, Directory of Open Access Journals, Open J-Gate, ProQest and Google Scholar.
