This year, the team of health professionals from the Clinic for Invasive Cardiology, University Clinical Center Tuzla will join in celebration of World Heart Day, 2017. World Heart Day on 29 September is the World Heart Federation’s platform for raising awareness about cardiovascular disease. To mark the day, our employees from the Clinic for Invasive Cardiology are organizing public health event on Thursday, September 28, from 10 am to noon, near the Baroque building.
On the occasion Ass. Prof. Elmir Jahić, MD, head of the Clinic will address reporters at a press conference at 11 a.m.
Cardiovascular disease continues to be the leading cause of death in our country and the world. There are many coronary heart disease risk factors that can be prevented and controlled. Therefore, the aim of this action is to promote a heart- healthy lifestyle changes that include healthy diet, quitting smoking, physical activity , stress reducing and aiming for a healthy weight.
