Accreditation process in Clinical Center Tuzla

On Monday, the appraisal team of the Agency for Healthcare Quality and Accreditation in the FB&H (AKAZ) started with an external evaluation for accreditation of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, which was the first hospital in B&H to enter this demanding process of the implementing the quality system. The first evaluation of five clinics are going to perform six AKAZ evaluators. In the forthcoming period 21 clinics of the University Clinical Center Tuzla will be evaluated to be officially accredited by AKAZ.

” It is my pleasure to welcome and greet AKAZ appraisal team on behalf of 2500 employees of this health center, who are working together to provide our patients with a safe and quality health care service. Our goal is to be a regional leader in delivering health services to our citizens, while the process of accreditation is something that just complementing our goal. We are following modern trends in medicine, but our idea is not to compete with others in this field, but to compete with ourselves in order to provide the best possible level of care for patients in our hospital” said director of Clinical Center Tuzla Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić in the introductory meeting with the representatives of AKAZ.

“It is my pleasure to be here today for over the last 15 years we have been working, learning and advancing together. This health center was and I hope will continue to be a role model for other centers. You have successfully passed a Baby- Friendly accreditation process among the first in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With this accreditation process one chapter was closing while another opened for Clinical Center Tuzla.” said director of AKAZ Ass. Prof. Ahmed Novo.

Besides director Hotić, the introductory meeting also attended Maida Nuhić, head of the Sector for Organization and Quality Improvement, Nihad Mešanović, head of Sector for Information Technology, Mustafa Tabaković, head of the Clinic for Cardiovascular Surgery, Mirza Jahić, head technician, Fahrija Skokić, medical director, Dženita Ljuca, head of the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics, Sead Ahmetagić, head of the Clinic for Infectious Disease, Samir Husić, head of the Center for Palliative Care, and Suvad Dedić, head of the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases.
