The event titled World Antibiotic Awareness Week will be marked around the world in the period 12- 18 November. The Society of Microbiologists in Bosnia and Herzegovina with its partners will join this years’s campaign in the Tuzla Canton.
The partners of World Antibiotic Awareness Week campaign in Bosnia and Herzegovina are the Ministry of Health of the Tuzla Canton, the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Medical faculty Tuzla, the Association of Students (Medicus and Bohemsa), Pharmaceutical faculty Tuzla, the Association of Students Farmakon, Public Health Institute of the Tuzla Canton, the Association of Doctors in Primary Medicine, and Medical Chamber of the Tuzla Canton.
Within the campaign, the University Clinical center Tuzla will host a professional meeting for doctors residents on 13 November 2018 beginning at 14.00 hours at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases.
The themes of the meeting are as follows:
1. The mechanism of antimicrobial resistance- Nijaz Tihić
2. The rational use of antibiotics- Aldina Ahmetagić
3. The treatment of severe infections caused by multiresistant bacteria.- Jasmina Smajić
