The roles and responsibilities of Ethics Committee:

  • To monitor the application of the general principles of Medical Ethics and Deontology in clinical research and activities;

  • To give consent for conducting medical and scientific research, clinical trials of drugs and medical devices in the Institution, as a preliminary procedure for obtaining approval by the competent authority;

  • To analyze and propose regulations in the field of healthcare from the aspect of Medical Ethics and Deontology;

  • To give opinions on controversial issues that are important for conducting medical and scientific tests, clinical trials of drugs and medical devices in the Institution;

  • To monitor violations of patient’s rights and systematically work to improve circumstances in this area in line with patients’ rights and obligations;

  • To cooperate with competent medical chambers and resolve other ethical issues in healthcare
