The Clinic is committed to training of the next generation of infectious diseases specialist and subspecialist, and offers infectious disease residency program.<\/p>\n WORKING HOURS<\/b><\/p>\n Regular working hours: 8a.m.- 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n On- call doctors on working days: 2p.m.- 8 a.m.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n On weekends and holidays: doctor on- call 24 hours<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n ORGANIZING STRUCTURE<\/b><\/p>\n Admission and triage outpatient clinic<\/b><\/p>\n Nurse in charge: Sanela Kari\u0107, graduated nurse<\/p>\n Admission and triage outpatient clinic serves for evaluation, care and treatment of patients. Working hours of outpatient clinic is 24hours.<\/p>\n The regular working hours of physicians in the Admission and Triage Clinic are from 08:00 to 14:00. An outpatient ambulance for consultation with specialist<\/b><\/p>\n An outpatient ambulance offers the first evaluation and of patients referred from primary health care or other clinic or hospital, as well as the follow up of patients after the discharge from hospital.<\/p>\n Working hours: Monday- Friday 9a.m.- 1 p.m.<\/p>\n Check- ups according to doctor's schedule from 11a.m.- 1 p.m.<\/p>\n Cabinets:<\/b><\/p>\n Cabinet for HIV\/AIDS and other immunodeficiency conditions with counseling<\/b><\/p>\n In the HIV\/AIDS Clinic, examinations are performed for patients who come for follow-up visits and for receiving specific antiretroviral therapy. In the VCT Counseling Center (Voluntary Confidential Counseling and Testing), clients receive counseling and rapid testing. The approach to clients includes pre- test counseling, testing, and post-test counseling. The counseling center operates on the principles of voluntariness, confidentiality, and anonymity.<\/p>\n A referral from primary healthcare is not required for examination, counseling, or testing.<\/p>\n Clinic working hours: from 08:00 to 14:00 (Client services from 10:00 to 13:00).<\/p>\n Cabinet for hepatitis and blood- borne infections<\/b><\/p>\n Cabinet offers following health care services:<\/p>\n Follow- up after discharge; regular follow- up and treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis (B and C)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Follow- up of patients with acute viral hepatitis who are treated at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and patients who are referred from primary health care and other hospitals<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Health care services for employees after accidental events and reported injuries from sharp objects; recommendations and vaccination of employees against hepatitis B<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Consilium for chronic hepatitis<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Working hours: 8 a.m.- 2 p.m.<\/p>\n DAY HOSPITAL<\/strong><\/p>\n In the Day Hospital, patients are observed for up to 24 hours. Patients are referred to the Day Hospital from the Emergency Outpatient Clinic of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases, following examination and assessment by an infectious disease specialist. During observation, all necessary therapeutic and diagnostic measures and procedures are applied, continuous monitoring and nursing care are provided, and all required consultative examinations are carried out.<\/p>\n After the observation period, the infectious disease specialist, either independently or in consultation with other consulting physicians, makes a decision regarding further treatment (hospital admission, discharge for home treatment with recommendations, or referral to another clinic for continued care).<\/p>\n The establishment of the Day Hospital within the Clinic for Infectious Diseases offers numerous advantages for both patients and the healthcare institution due to the organization of work, shortened hospital stay, and the rationalization of all necessary resources and costs.<\/p>\n If, after observation in the Day Hospital, a decision is made to admit the patient for inpatient treatment at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases, the patient or family members must obtain an additional referral from the responsible physician in primary healthcare. If the patient is referred to another clinic for further treatment after observation, an internal referral is issued from the Emergency Outpatient Clinic of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases.<\/p>\n \n DEPARTMENTS<\/b><\/p>\n DEPARTMENT OF SEMI- INTENSIVE CARE<\/strong><\/p>\n Head of Department:<\/strong> Prim. It provides diagnostics and treatment for patients with infectious diseases who are in severe general condition (coma, sepsis, snake bites, mushroom poisoning, severe dehydration, patients with respiratory and other infections requiring oxygen therapy, therapy administered via a central venous catheter, feeding via a nasogastric tube, and other patients with severe conditions caused by infectious agents and complications).<\/p>\n Work in the Department includes continuous 24- hour monitoring, the application of therapeutic and diagnostic measures and procedures, nursing care, and other interventions according to the individual needs and condition of each patient. The latest diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are implemented in accordance with global guidelines and recommendations.<\/p>\n DEPARTMENT FOR URINARY INFECTIONS, ZOONOSES, AND UNEXPLAINED FEBRILE CONDITIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n Head of Department:<\/strong> Prof. Dr. Dilista Pilji\u0107, Specialist in Infectious Diseases The Department for Urinary Infections, Zoonoses, and Unexplained Febrile Conditions performs diagnostics and treatment of patients with urogenital and sexually transmitted diseases, zoonoses (brucellosis, leptospirosis, borreliosis, hantavirus infections, and other zoonoses), as well as unexplained febrile conditions.<\/p>\n An unexplained febrile condition refers to repeated episodes of elevated body temperature above 38.3\u00b0C lasting for three weeks, where the cause remains undetermined after three visits to a primary healthcare physician or after seven days of hospital treatment with standard diagnostic procedures.<\/p>\n The department has 10 patient beds, and its work includes continuous 24- hour monitoring, the application of therapeutic and diagnostic measures and procedures, nursing care, and other interventions according to the individual needs and condition of each patient.<\/p>\n The department is staffed by a team consisting of an infectious disease specialist, a nurse\/medical technician with a university degree, a nurse\/medical technician with a secondary medical degree, and other necessary permanent and occasional staff. As part of this teaching base, education and practical training are provided for students of the Faculty of Medicine, the Health Studies programs, and students of the Secondary Medical School.
