According to Articles 75 and 76 the Law on Health Care (Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, No. 46\/10 and 75\/13), and Article 36, Paragraph 24 and Article 72 of the Statue of the Public Health Institution University Clinical Center Tuzla, the Board of Directors of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, at the session held on December 13, 2022, appointed Ethics Committee members:<\/p>\n

      The roles and responsibilities of Ethics Committee:<\/p>\n

      • \n

        To monitor the application of the general principles of Medical Ethics and Deontology in clinical research and activities;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        To give consent for conducting medical and scientific research, clinical trials of drugs and medical devices in the Institution, as a preliminary procedure for obtaining approval by the competent authority;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        To analyze and propose regulations in the field of healthcare from the aspect of Medical Ethics and Deontology;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        To give opinions on controversial issues that are important for conducting medical and scientific tests, clinical trials of drugs and medical devices in the Institution;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        To monitor violations of patient's rights and systematically work to improve circumstances in this area in line with patients’ rights and obligations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n
