The University Clinical Center Tuzla, Center for Obesity Treatment is in the process of applying for referral center status. On that occasion the representatives of the commission from the Federal Ministry of Health were in an official visit today. The commission consisted of president Ass. Prof. Zoran Trnini\u0107, Prof. Dr. Milenko Bevanda and Vedran Mar\u010dinko MSci. Law. were hosted by director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla Ass. Prof. Alen Kameri\u0107 with his closest associates.<\/p>\n
During the meeting director Kameri\u0107 thanked our guests for the visit and presented hospital's ongoing\u00a0 cooperation programs and projects related to education.<\/p>\n
The meeting also attended medical director Ass. Prof. Bahrudin Had\u017eiefendi\u0107, director for scientific work and education Prof. Dr. \u0160efik Hasuki\u0107, Prof. Dr. Fuad Pa\u0161i\u0107, abdominal surgeon, and Prof. Dr Nermin Salki\u0107, head of the Clinic for Internal Medicine.<\/p>\n
During an interesting presentation given by Prof. Dr Fuad Pa\u0161i\u0107 the members of the Federal Ministry learned about procedures and results of bariatric surgery in the University Clinical Center Tuzla. Prof. Dr. Pa\u0161i\u0107 especially pointed in presentation that our hospital is the only health care center in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a multidisciplinary team and approach to the management of obesity, and at the same time it is the only healthcare provider for a comprehensive pre-operative assessment and treatment of obesity in patients. He also said that the patients from Croatia, Monte Negro, Serbia, Austria, Switzerland, the USA and our country are looking for bariatric surgery services in our Clinical Center.<\/p>\n
In concluding the meeting the commission members expressed satisfaction with the innovative approach and the presented results in the treatment of obesity, and confirmed that Clinical Center Tuzla stands out in this surgical branch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
