“The outpatient department utilisation is in the interest of both the health system and the patients. Outpatient services are more cost-effective than many inpatient services, and patients can recover from treatments or surgical procedures in the comfort of their own homes” said Prof. Maloj\u010di\u0107<\/p>\n
During the visit Prof. Maloj\u010di\u0107 also held a practical training on transcranial Doppler ultrasonography, which, in addition to its standard role in diagnostic evaluation of cerebrovascular disease, has other potential as well. “Transcranial Doppler has important application in neuro-\u00a0 critical care units in preparation and following of patients during surgical procedures and the determination of brain death.” he said.<\/p>\n
