This year's awareness-raising activities included free counseling services, <span lang=\"en\">HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, <\/span>blood pressure and blood sugar testing for the citizens of Tuzla in shopping mall Omega.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Denis \u017depi\u0107, specialist in infectious diseases said that the citizens responded to campaign very good and all planned rapid test for HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C were used yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks the body's immune system. If left untreated, HIV can lead to the disease AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).<\/p>\n<p>This year the day is celebrated under the theme &#8221; Equalize&#8221; that refers to persistent economic, social, cultural and legal inequalities and challenges posed by the COVID- 19 pandemic and other global crisis requires renewed efforts to maintain visibility for HIV and to end AIDS as a public health threat.<\/p>\n<p>The detection and management of early HIV infection is very important prevention measure, both for individual treatment and HIV transmission. The treatment that starts early is more successful.<\/p>\n<p>The Counseling Centre for voluntary, confidential and free testing for HIV and Hepatitis C virus of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases is offering anonymous HIV\/AIDS and hepatitis testing and any kind of help for patients free of charge through the year.<\/p>\n<p>Medication used for the treatment and care are for the patients completely free of charge.
