{"id":18974,"date":"2025-06-25T13:45:49","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T12:45:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ukctuzla.ba\/ukctuzla\/?p=18974"},"modified":"2025-06-25T13:45:49","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T12:45:49","slug":"workshop-on-mr-brain-spectroscopy-held-with-eminent-lecturers-from-novi-sad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ukctuzla.ba\/ukctuzla\/?p=18974&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on MR brain spectroscopy held with eminent lecturers from Novi Sad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span lang=\"en\">A professional workshop dedicated to MR brain spectroscopy was held by the Clinic for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, with the participation of eminent lecturers from Novi Sad, Prof. Dr. Du\u0161ko Kozi\u0107, a specialist in neuroradiology, and Prof. Dr. Jelena Ostoji\u0107, a medical physicist and professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad. <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span lang=\"en\">The workshop was organized on the occasion of the introduction of a new diagnostic method of MR brain spectroscopy, which was made possible by the recent upgrade of the existing 1.5 T MRI machine at the Clinic for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span lang=\"en\">This advanced method provides additional information about the chemical composition of brain tissue and the concentration of metabolites, which significantly contributes to more precise diagnostics of certain pathological brain conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">Prof. Dr. Svjetlana Mujagi\u0107, Acting Head of the Clinic for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, highlighted the significance of the workshop: \u201cIt is a great pleasure to host such esteemed lecturers from Novi Sad, who are not only leading experts in their fields but also long-standing friends of the University Clinical Center Tuzla. Our initial collaborations and training in the field of magnetic resonance imaging began at the Institute of Oncology of Vojvodina in Sremska Kamenica, where our specialists had the opportunity to learn under the guidance of Professor Kozi\u0107. With the acquisition of modern equipment and the introduction of advanced diagnostic procedures, we are creating valuable opportunities for ongoing education, professional development, and further enhancement of our team's expertise,\u201d emphasized Prof. Mujagi\u0107.<\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">Prof. Dr. med. sci. \u0160ekib Umihani\u0107, Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, emphasized that this initiative represents another concrete step in the institution\u2019s ongoing commitment to the modernization of diagnostic capabilities and continuous professional development: \u201cThe management of UKC Tuzla, under my leadership, remains firmly dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare services through the modernization of medical equipment and the continuous education of our medical staff at all levels. The introduction of brain MR spectroscopy is a direct result of strategic planning and targeted investments, not only in advanced technologies, but also in the knowledge and skills of our healthcare professionals.
