The team was stationed at the clinic operated by the humanitarian organization Emmaus, located in close proximity to the Srebrenica-Poto\u010dari Memorial Center. Their primary mission was to ensure medical care and emergency support for the thousands of attendees who gathered to honor the memory of the victims of the gravest crime committed on European soil since World War II.<\/p>\n
The UKC Tuzla mobile surgical team included: Prof. Dr. \u0160ekib Umihani\u0107, Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nusret Rami\u0107, Prim. M.r. med. sci. Samir Hod\u017ei\u0107, medical technicians: Damir Avdi\u010devi\u0107, Osman Merdanovi\u0107, Sead Mehmedovi\u0107, and Zijad Malki\u0107, and driver: Almir Krajinovi\u0107<\/p>\n
Throughout the event, the team primarily intervened in cases of exhaustion, elevated blood pressure, acute episodes of chronic illnesses, and minor injuries caused by prolonged walking and high temperatures.
