A delegation from \u0130n\u00f6n\u00fc University in Malatya, Republic of T\u00fcrkiye, led by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Nusret Akpolat, paid a working visit to the University Clinical Center Tuzla.<\/p>\n
The delegation was welcomed by the Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Prof. Dr. \u0160ekib Umihani\u0107, together with his associates: Prof. Dr. Elmir \u010ci\u010dku\u0161i\u0107, Prof. Dr. Zlatan Mehmedovi\u0107, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tabakovi\u0107, and Prof. Dr. Nijaz Tihi\u0107. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton, Dr. sc. Ahmed Omerovi\u0107, the Rector of the University of Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Amir Kari\u0107, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Farid Ljuca.<\/p>\n

According to the Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Prof. Dr. \u0160ekib Umihani\u0107, a delegation from the University Clinical Center Tuzla paid an official visit to \u0130n\u00f6n\u00fc University two months ago.<\/p>\n
“During our visit to \u0130n\u00f6n\u00fc University, we signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of living donor liver transplantation. We agreed on a comprehensive training programme, identifying the healthcare professionals from our institution who will undergo training, as well as the expert teams from T\u00fcrkiye who will supervise and support the establishment of the liver transplantation programme at the University Clinical Center Tuzla,” said Prof. Dr. Umihani\u0107.<\/p>\n
The Republic of T\u00fcrkiye is internationally recognized as one of the world's leading countries in the field of living donor organ transplantation, with extensive experience and outstanding clinical outcomes.<\/p>\n
The partnership between the University Clinical Center Tuzla and \u0130n\u00f6n\u00fc University in Malatya is founded on a shared commitment to advancing healthcare through professional collaboration, scientific research, and the exchange of knowledge and expertise. The cooperation will encompass education and training, the exchange of healthcare professionals, joint scientific and research projects, and the implementation of programmes in areas of mutual interest.<\/p>\n
“The expertise and experience of our colleagues from Malatya will be of great value in further strengthening the professional competencies of physicians at the University Clinical Center Tuzla. We intend to place particular emphasis on education, professional exchange, and long- term cooperation in this highly specialized field of medicine. Liver and other organ transplantations have been performed successfully in T\u00fcrkiye for many years, and we are pleased to share our knowledge and experience with colleagues in Tuzla,” said Prof. Dr. Nusret Akpolat.<\/p>\n
In addition to cooperation in the field of liver transplantation, the Memorandum of Cooperation provides a framework for collaboration in other medical specialties, as well as the exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students, medical residents, specialists, academic staff, and faculty members of the University of Tuzla.
