The team of surgeons from the Clinic of Surgery, University Clinical Center Tuzla has independently conducted the uniportal VATS (video assisted) approach to lung lobectomy in a patient suffering from lung carcinoma. It is a minimally invasive thoracic surgery being performed through a single small port of 3 to 5 cm.<\/p>\n
Dr. Nermin Mu\u0161anovi\u0107, surgeon explained that uniportal VATS lobectomy was done in a patient with confirmed diagnosis of lung carcinoma. The half of the left lung was removed using optical instruments via the only one incision. The post- operative period went uneventful, and the patient was soon discharged from hospital.<\/p>\n
The team of surgeons consisted of chief of the Department for Thoracic Surgery Ass.
