During the weekend on 26 and 27 October, 2019, the Hotel Holiday in Sarajevo hosted a solemn ceremony on the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the Academy of Medical Sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Academy has announced and inducted its newly- elected academicians Prof. Dr. Enisa Mešić, Prof. Dr. Šefik Hasukić, Prof.Dr. Senaid Trnačević, Prof. Dr. Mirza Bišćević, Prof. Dr. Dončo Donev and Prof. Dr. Slobodan Janković.
The founder and president of the Academy of Medical Sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina Prof. Dr. Izet Mašić in his opening speech said that Academy members are elected for outstanding contributions to science and research. The number of scientific paperworks and researches by 33 academicians of this Academy have been published and cited in the world’s leading citation database and indexed peer- review literature.
The members of this Academy are also recognized as a prominent names by its scientific contributions in B&H, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, the US, Germany and Norway. Some of the Academy’s members are also members of the World Academy of Art and Science, the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics, the Croatian Academy of Medical Sciences, the Serbian Academy of Medical Sciences, the Academy of Sciences and Arts in B&H, and the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
