Six patients were referred from the Kalesija Health Center to the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases of the University Clinical Center Tuzla (UKC Tuzla) due to health difficulties caused by smoke inhalation during a fire at the company “Samir-beg” d.o.o. Kalesija.
Upon admission, the patients received appropriate medical care for breathing difficulties resulting from inhalation of combustion gases. Following comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, one patient was transferred to the Clinic for Orthopedics and Traumatology of UKC Tuzla for further treatment of a foot injury.
Two patients were kept under short- term observation at the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases and, after their clinical condition stabilized, were discharged to home care, along with the remaining patients.
All patients are currently in clinically stable condition.
