On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the transplant team of the University Clinical Center Tuzla (UKC Tuzla) successfully performed a related kidney transplant.
The transplantation was carried out through coordinated multidisciplinary collaboration involving surgeons and operating room staff from the Clinic of Urology; anesthesiologists and anesthetists from the Clinic of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation; as well as healthcare professionals from the Department of Nephrology of the Clinic of Internal Medicine, the Clinic of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, the Polyclinic for Laboratory Diagnostics, the Polyclinic for Transfusion Medicine, and the Hospital Pharmacy.
According to the Head of the Clinic of Urology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samed Jagodić, both the surgical procedure and the postoperative course proceeded without complications. The donor and the kidney transplant recipient are in stable condition, with renal function parameters within normal limits.
