The reconstruction and adaptation works in the Intensive Care Unit, Clinic for Cardiovascular Surgery are done. New medical gass system installations, outlet points for oxygen, vacuum and air, and additional five units are placed in a newly- renovated facility. The Intensive Care Unit is now equipped with high-tech medical devices.
The necessity for expansion of the existing capacities has existed for a long time because cardiovascular surgery occupies 50 percents of all common medical procedures for heart conditions.
Reconstruction works on the ICU expansion performed the technical service of the University Clinical Center Tuzla funded from its own resources.
“These works shows that Clinical Center Tuzla once again taking a dominant role in health care system of the Federation BiH. My statement is truly justified because Clinical Center Tuzla is the only health facility in whole country that maintain transplant program amid the COVID- 19 outbreak.
