The opening ceremony of the Fifth Congress of Physiotherapists of B&H with international participation was suitably solemn and took place in the crowded congress hall of Hotel Mellain in Tuzla on Friday, May 19, 2023. The Congress was organized under the patronage of the Association of Physiotherapists of the Federation B&H and the Association of Physiotherapists of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Congress program was held in 5 sessions, 36 lectures and 8 workshops. The participants from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia, Spain, the Netherlands and South Korea attended this medical event.
Mirela Begić, president of the organizing committee of the congress on this occasion said that the aim of the organizers was to highlight the importance of physiotherapy role and clinical competence, which ultimately aims to develop the physical therapy profession.
The congress program explored current topics and offered up- to – date lectures by world renowned experts, which fulfilled our expectations that this congress was a great opportunity to gain new knowledge and learn about the latest achievements. Being a host to leading names in medical profession and science, participants from all over the world was an exceptional honor, a great responsibility and obligation for us, the organizers. I sincerely hope that the professional and scientific program justified the expectations of the participants and that we were good hosts.” said Mirela Begić.
The University Clinical Center Tuzla was a co- organizer of this congress and director Prof. Dr. Denijal Tulumović while delivering a speech at the opening ceremony said that Clinical Center Tuzla supports the organization of all professional gatherings and wished the participants successful congress work, useful and interesting discussions and reaching conclusions that will help enhance the practice of qualified physiotherapists profession.
The Fifth Congress of Physiotherapists of Bosnia and Herzegovina with international participation declared open Carmen Suarez, 1st Vice chairman, European Region, World Confederation for Physiotherapy (WCP).
