Today, the Prime Minister of the Tuzla Canton Irfan Halilagić and representatives of the Assembly of Tuzla Canton Dr. Zumra Avdibgović- Begić and Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić paid a visit to the University Clinical Center Tuzla on the occasion of announced reconstruction plan activities on the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics. The guests hosted the director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla Prof. Dr. Denijal Tulumović, medical director Assoc. Prof. Igor Hudić, and head of the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics Dr. Adnan Babović.
This visit was preceded by proposing and initiating activities related to the reconstruction of the clinic in order to create better conditions and environment for women throughout labour and childbirth experience at the Assembly of Tuzla Canton sessions by Dr. Zumra Begić- Avdibegović and Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić.
The director Prof. Dr Denijal Tulumović thanked for the visit of government representatives and expressed personal satisfaction with the announced reconstruction activities.
” Our goal is to improve health system performance and maternity care at the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics. In the previous period we wormed up Gradina building through quality façade, and now we plan interior renovation and reconfigure ahead of us. In addition to these works, with the support of the Tuzla Canton Government and the Health Insurance Institute of Tuzla Canton, we are finishing repair work and reconstructions on the Department of Adolescent Psychiatry at the Clinic for Psychiatry, the Clinic for Internal Diseases, and we are opening the Daily Hospital at the Clinic for Oncology and Radiotherapy as well. All these construction works are accompanied by continuous education of the medical staff, as well as the procurement of medical equipment, all with the aim of creating better working conditions for employees and more pleasant stays for patients”, said director Tulumović.
