More than 550 specialist examinations were provided in the outpatient clinic to patients who suffered from respiratory viruses, influenza and parainfluenza. The Clinic is currently hosting 78 little patients and 56 accompanying mothers, which shows the seriousness of the epidemiological situation and difficulties with the Clinic’s accommodation capacity.

An efficient hospital workflow and the engagement of committed health professionals enabled monitoring and isolation of infectious diseases. A measles outbreak, has led to the hospitalization of 10 children, most of them are infants, at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases.

The mentioned diseases are characteristic of the winter period. They are transmitted through droplets through the nose or throat of an infected person. They are also characterized by elevated body temperature. The occurrence of complications in the form of pneumonia or brain inflammation is also possible.
