Ribbon cutting opens renovated facilities of the department of cardiology

In the presence of numerous guest, media and employees, the University Clinical Center opened its renovated A and B Department of Cardiology and associated cabinets for ergometry, heart ultrasound, Holter monitor and outpatient ambulances through the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony. The project of the Department of Cardiology focuses on renovation of all patients’ rooms, sanitary facilities and cabinets, as well as hospital furniture purchase. „ Most recent efforts have aimed to provide a high level of health care to end- users.“ said Prof Dr. Zumreta Kušljugić and expressed her gratitude to socially responsible companies, humanitarians and employees for supporting the project of renovation and modernization of the Department.

Prof. Dr. Denijal Tulumović, Head of the UKC Tuzla Clinic of Internal Medicine also expressed his gratitude and stressed the importance of the project given that the number of patients suffering from cardiovascular disease is constantly increasing, and it is well known that cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in our country.

The UKC Tuzla Director Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić gave a speech in which he addressed the present guests and pointed out that the said project is only one in a series of activities aiming to create better living and working conditions within the hospital.

Ass. Prof. Munevera Bećarević, the President of the UKC Tuzla Board of Directors performed the ceremonial ribbon cutting to open renovated facilities of the Department of Cardiology.
