A one-day School of vascular anastomosis and surgical treatment of blood vessels injuries organized by the University Clinical Center Tuzla- Clinic for Cardiovascular Diseases in cooperation with Slovenian Surgery Club, was held today.
The aim of this one-day event is to introduce participants to diagnostic procedures in cardiovascular surgery, surgical suturing techniques of vascular anastomosis, and care of injured blood vessels.
The School consisted both a theoretical and a practical part. During the practical part, each participant practiced the art of vascular anastomosis suturing and resolving vessel wall injuries using biological material of animal origin and synthetic material.
