Today, the University Clinical Center Tuzla welcomed two esteemed speakers from the University of Basel, Prof. dr. Wolf Langewitz and Prof.dr. Dunja Nicca. The esteemed guests were received by Prof.dr. Fahrija Skokić,medical director of Clinical Centre Tuzla. They joined the meeting to discuss possible future cooperation between two academic institutions.
During today’s visit Prof.dr Langewitz and Prof.dr. Nicca hosted a one-day workshop at the Clinic of Infectious Diseases aimed at improving knowledge, skills and attitudes of health professionals. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to work on improving communication skills, with the aim to gain the patient’s cooperation and adherence to medical treatment. Key focus of this workshop is to support patients living with HIV and other chronic conditions, such as hepatitis B and C. During the workshop, several case reports and individual case studies of clinical practice were presented.
