Biopharmaceutical company AbbVie has donated 20.000 BAM worth computers to the University Clinical Center Tuzla.This valuable donation will certainly speed up and improve workflow at the Clinics where computers are to be installed.
During the handover ceremony, director of Clinical Center Tuzla thanked for the donation and reminded that at the beginning of this year AbbVie also provided and donated biologics for treating rheumatoid arthritis Humira supplies for 4 months treatment in 20 patients, thus making Clinical Center Tuzla the only hospital in the Federation of BiH where biologic therapies are used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Moreover, AbbVie company was a donor of Fibroscan device after which the procedure of transient elastography of liver was introduced at the Clinic for Internal Medicine.
On the occasion, the Minister of Health Dr. Bahrudin Hadžiefendić, who attended the handover ceremony highlighted the importance of companies with social responsibility, and invited other companies to follow AbbVie’s example.
