The director of Clinical Center Tuzla Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić with his associates hosted a New Year’s reception for media representatives.
Director Hotić gave the introductory statement to the press conference and pointed out that the University Clinical Center Tuzla during the year 2017 for its patients has introduced new and sophisticated procedures of modern medicine, but also conducted training and continuing education for medical professionals.
According to him, the number of medical examinations and services has increased compared to the year 2016. The number of surgeries in an outpatient clinics has increased by 577 patients, the number of inpatients increased by 318 patients, while the overall number of treated patients increased by 200 patients. For the said period the number of specialist examinations and services has increased by 189,787 compared to the previous year.
In a 15- minute PowerPoint presentation director Hotić gave an overview of the innovative medical expertise, hospital strategy to reduce elective surgery waiting list, and mentioned the new medical equipment as well as major renovations done in Clinical Center Tuzla.
Media representatives showed a special interest in implementation of an electronic referral system for outpatients (eReferral) that will create faster and direct communication between primary and secondary health care providers. At the end of a dynamic and summary presentation Ass.Prof. Hotić provided an overview on plans and priorities for the year 2018.
This reception was an excellent opportunity to share a Thank-You letters and appreciations to the media services for a timely and objective reporting of events in the University Clinical Center Tuzla during the year.
