The University Clinical Center Tuzla and the Tuzla Canton Medical Chamber are hosts of the Abdominal Ultrasound School of a postgraduate level will take place in period 8 May – 2 June 2023.
The participants of this year’s ultrasound training are coming from different health care institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The leader of ultrasound training is Prof. Dr. Senahid Trnačević, specialist in internal medicine and sub- specialist in nephrology.
Dynamic ultrasound training program is aimed at preparing participants to become familiar with the properties of the ultrasound waves, the basics of ultrasound technique and clinical components related to ultrasound diagnostics of the abdomen.
In the following weeks of intensive training the participants will learn about echoanatomy of the liver, gallbladder and bile ducts, and current knowledge on inflammatory and malignant diseases of the gallbladder and diffuse and vascular diseases, cysts and tumors of the liver. The program will include topics on a pediatric abdominal ultrasound.
The lecturers are eminent doctors with many years of experience in the field of ultrasonography Prof. Dr. Denijal Tulumović, Prof. Dr. Ervin Alibegović, Prof. Dr. Nermin Salkić, Ass. Prof. Nedima Atić, M.D., and Prof. Dr. Nihad Mešanović, electrical engineer . The goal of the organizers of the ultrasound school is to modernize and improve the level of ultrasonography, as well as to provide better education for doctors.
