The ceremonial distribution of certificates for ten participants of the 20th Cardiac Ultrasound School was held on Friday. Organizers of this year’s ultrasound school were the University Clinical Center Tuzla and the Tuzla Canton Medical Chamber.
On the occasion the participants received a certificate on successful completion of a course.
This medical event attended medical director Assoc. Prof. Igor Hudić, head of the Sector for scientific research and education Prof. dr. Ervin Alibegović, the leader of the school Dr. MSc. Elnur Smajić, and the president of the Tuzla Canton Medical Chamber Prof. Dr. Harun Brkić, who congratulated participants and said that this form of medical training is designed to increase participants’ knowledge, skill and ability to safely and efficiently use cardiac ultrasound equipment, and to perform and interpret echocardiograms independently.
The lecturers at this School are eminent sonographers from the University Clinical Center Tuzla Dr. Msc. Elnur Smajić, Prof. Dr. Zureta Kušljugić, Prof. Dr. Hidajeta Begić, Prof. Dr. Sadat Kurtalić. Ass. Prof. Mirsad Selimović, Prim. Dr. Esad Brkić, Ass. Prof. Amira Bujedić, Ass. Prof. Larisa Hudić Dizdarević, Ass. Prof. Maida Kovačević, Dr. Omer Bedak, Dr. Alan Jahić, and Prof. Dr. Nihad Mešanović.
The certificates to participants presented Dr. Elnur Smajić, specialist in internal medicine, subspecialist cardiologist and chief of the Department for Cardiology, Clinic for Internal Disease, who said that all participants gained theoretical knowledge and skill needed for diagnostic cardiac sonography.
